How to save energy?

If you're serious about saving on your electricity bill, the good news is now you can save money on your energy consumption. This is as much easier as you think to paint the house. Simple changes like unplug your appliances after use can save resources and energy and perhaps global warming. Another way to save energy is to ensure, whenever we have stopped using the electrical devices that may have light(stand by mode), we switch off that unit. These little things make a big difference in conserving energy around the office, and home. Always use dimmers to reduce electrical load and power consumption of the lamps.

When we talk about total electricity consumption of a home, it includes every electrical appliance used in the houses starting from light bulbs to mobile chargers, water heaters, the refrigerator, and other gadgets. Energy consumption of the home will go up considerably if you are not careful to use them wisely. Buy an energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamps is one of the best ways to reduce energy. Although they cost more initially, but they save energy in the long run as it uses only 1/4 of the energy of an ordinary incandescent bulb. They provide an equivalent amount of brightness. Only 10% of the energy consumed by normal light bulb generates light and the rest just makes the bulb hot.

Whenever you save energy, you not only save money, you also reduce the demand of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. Less use of fossil fuels also means less carbon dioxide (CO2), the main contributor to global warming. Now, energy-efficient alternatives are for almost every type of device or lamp. This means that consumers have real choice and power to change the energy use of a revolutionary scale.
